Solutions / Industries

Sales roleplay for different buyers and industries.

Practise the skills that help you understand a buyer: asking useful questions, explaining value and agreeing a next step. Then see how they apply in your industry.

Core skills. Different contexts.

The details change with every buyer. Listening, clarity and curiosity still matter.

Understand the problem

Ask a real operational question and listen for what is behind the first answer.

Handle resistance

Acknowledge the concern, find out what it means, and respond to the actual obstacle.

Where you can start

Six industry contexts to practise in.

Explain a complex choice clearly

Rehearse explaining a complex choice and making space for the buyer’s questions.

A practice context, not a dedicated industry pack or professional advice.

Make the conversation relevant

Bring a clearer question, a simpler explanation or a more thoughtful response to your next call. Set the buyer’s industry before you start and Selly plays someone from that world.

Questions

Are there industry-specific practice packs?

No. Industry packs are not a separate offering. The contexts on this page are practice ideas you can bring to any call.

Can I choose the buyer’s industry?

Yes. Before a call you can set an industry focus, which picks the world the buyer lives in. Leave it blank and the trade is chosen at random.

Can I practise with real customer details?

Please don’t. Leave real names out. The guide on responsible practice explains how to keep a scenario realistic without private information.

Is any of this professional advice?

No. Practice calls are for conversation skills only. Nothing here is financial, medical, legal or other professional advice.
